Innoreactivation Award, Pelindo III (2021)
Two awards for best implemented idea at Pelindo III’s Innoreactivation event on 23 March 2021, for ITventory and ECDR — both in full use across Regional Kalimantan at the time.
Alhamdulillah.
The category was best implemented idea, and implemented is the word that made it worth winning. Building an internal tool is not the hard part. Getting a region to actually use one is. Both apps were in full use across Regional Kalimantan and Pelabuhan Bagendang, and the case for each was put forward by the General Manager of the branch running it — the business side, not IT.
I built both of them, as the Android developer and as the backend developer.
ITventory
IT asset records, stock, and maintenance history for staff working rolling shifts, where the whole point was that whoever came on next could see what had already happened to a device without having to ask. It is also the direct ancestor of Risa — the same problem, rebuilt a year later in Flutter and Golang.
ECDR
Container damage inspection at the gate. The port kept receiving claims for damage that customers said had happened on its premises, and the paper form carried no photographic evidence by default. ECDR captures all six sides of a container and the driver before it enters, collects witness and foreman approval on the phone instead of on a walk across the yard, and exports the result as a PDF.
The value was never the paper it saved. It was having evidence on file when a claim arrives.
